Let me start off by saying I purchased this vehicle from Carvana, it's a 2011 Corvette Grand sport with 28,000 original miles, and within the first week I had noticed a slight vibration in the body, so I started reading Corvette forms, and one of the issues with the C6 Corvette is harmonic balance wobble , so I inspected and noticed it did have a wobble. The warranty that came with the car is through SilverRock and they sent me to one of their preferred shops ( My transmission and Auto Care Experts ) Katy Texas, I explained to the manager my concerns, let's fast forward 5 days later and this gentleman was trying to tell me that my torque converter and the torque tube needed to be replaced on my vehicle, mind you I had zero transmission issues and he explained nothing was wrong with the harmonic balance although you could see the wobble and serpentine belts were starting to fray, he also told me he put a claim in to SilverRock and was waiting for a claim adjuster to come inspect the vehicle. Several days later I call the warranty company to see when the claim agent was going to view my vehicle, the warranty company had not received any such claim nor sent out a claim adjuster , so I called the manager and asked him why he lied and couldn't be straight up front with me , he told me he needed more time to troubleshoot and diagnose the vehicle, I explained there were no transmission issues, my concern was the harmonic balance, after that conversation I went through that company and location reviews and found for the past 11 months there were no good review, all reviews were one star stating that they were ripped off and or scammed by this manager. The work that was performed to their vehicles was not done correctly or professionally and they would not warranty their work, along with being lied to and finding other so-called issues with the vehicle to rack up the bill. I took it upon my self to pick up the vehicle from this establishment and look elsewhere for a second opinion, I no longer trusted this manager nor the company. I called SilverRock and asked to send me a list of all their preferred shops in my area, ( Honest 1 Auto Care ) came up with phenomenal reviews, so I called and spoke with a gentleman named Anthony which is the manager, he was very knowledgeable and I told him about my previous experiences, he assured me that they play no games and are honest and professional. I took the vehicle up there met this gentleman and took a tour of the shop, it was extremely clean and organized. Mr Anthony took my vehicle and kept me updated each and every day with the progress of my car from what was found when diagnosing and troubleshooting to when the parts were supposed to arrive, to when the parts did arrive. The parts arrived on a Tuesday afternoon, and he said they were going to start working on it immediately, my vehicle was done the following afternoon. The amount of work it takes just to access and replace the harmonic balance is crazy, I have researched and watched numerous videos on YouTube, the vehicle has to be placed on a lift, wheels and tires removed, the whole steering rack and pinion has to be removed, and so much more plus once everything's back together you still have to do a wheel alignment. I would just like to say I would definitely 100% send friends and family to this establishment, and a special thanks to Mr Anthony for being professional and knowledgeable. This day in age it's hard to find a truly honest automobile repair facility, I will definitely be a repeat customer with all my vehicles.
